Floating units of syntactic foam
Floating units are used for the recovery of marine equipment.
Depending on the marine instrument`s weight and its maximum deployment depth it is equipped with syntactic foam units available in different shapes, e. g. disks, cylinders, spheres, hemispheres or others that all have a specific density.
By means of the buoyancy the instrument ascends from the seafloor to the water surface where it is recovered from the research vessel.
